Interesting that some sort of wargaming can be used to produced in vogue policy rather then the most effective force.

It's not just wargaming, it's common sense. The Marines are doing the right thing.

There has been an entire cadre of retired generals speaking out against FD 2030. The simple fact is that the National Security Strategy and the National Defense Strategy both have China as the pacing threat. Hostilities versus China means the Western Pacific. How would you plan on using Abrams tanks and tube artillery near the first island chain in contested naval/logistical environments? How would Abrams tanks help break a blockade of Taiwan?

The logistics of moving multiple 70-ton tanks around potentially multiple points in the Pacific Ocean is mind-bending. And the fuel requirements/parts requirements are all on top of that. I think its smart for the Navy and Marines to limit heavy armor and replace the space with infantry, missiles, and drones.
