Update 1.08 made game unplayable

Steam version, ran fine on 1.07.
My PBEM games now give error:
File CRC32 mismatch \1.07.00\1861 Blue and Gray.dat
Also, I'm trying the new scenario and game hangs on checking supply after the first turn.
I tried versifying game files in steam.
Please tell me I haven't lost 2 great PBEM games!
