Playing a game against another player. Finland declared its independence and my two Russian units in Finland near Helsinki were sent way to the northeast where all the towns were made "0" resource. Without supply, they could only move one hex a turn while attrition slowly eliminated them before they could get anywhere. Why? Why wouldn't they be displace to St Petersburg, the nearest supply source? The German units in Finland displaced to Latvia, instantly in supply and usable.

I can add in a loop script to move them from the north to further south.

I take it that Russia is collapsing either before, or without, investing in Murmansk as a port to receive supplies from the UK?

Hi Bill - out of interest, what is the current mechanism in the game engine that determines where units are sent when a country either withdraws from the war (through an armistice) or becomes independent (like Finland)? I would have thought the game would automatically send units to the nearest rail line in a friendly controlled territory. In Russia, after Finnish independence, that would normally be adjacent to Petrograd, unless Russia had stationed units in the north of Finland (which would be rare in the WW1 game).
