V.16 and V.25 do not play well together

PBEM between a V.25 account and a V.16 account seem to be not working. Bug or Feature?

Perfectly normal, the game engine has plenty of bugs corrected between .16 and .25. Bugs are not only in scenarios.
To synchronize everything, you have a red warning when the version of the scenario differs from the engine.

I don't know why you want to play version .16 even the Matrix installer is now from version .18.

What you can do is the following if you still have the original Warplan setup.
1. Uninstall Warplan
2. Install Warplan
3. Copy Matrix Games\Warplan directory to Matrix Games\Warplan16 directory
4. Apply the latest .25 patch into Matrix Games\Warplan directory
5. Apply the latest .16 patch into Matrix Games\Warplan16 directory
Then you choose the right executable for the right game.
By the way, our current game 381426 is with version .25 and, as such, was forced to start with version .25 with the implementation of the control. Somehow, you have reverted your engine to .16 so you must have the needed installer.

They redid the installer for the USMC scenarios

Yes, I still wonder the reason to play with this version .16...
