Was doing a little OOB modification (replaced a Bn HQ (mot) with Bn HQ (foot)) and adding a Half track unit to transport the foot HQ. Restarted the Scenario Editor and got the following error message:

2023-08-03 13:47:14 meedit.exe: [ERROR ID 1000] (counter.cpp, line 138, Counter::Read()) for pid P223007 (track 239), unknown org (else missing prepended P)

Any thoughts? I've searched through the ORG but cannot find this error (and probably would not know how to fix it anyway. Put a lot of work into this OOB and would hate to have to start over. Running version 2.30.

Any chance that you could post your files?

Although it could be that the scenario file is still looking for the misplaced platoon in the org file, as I don't think it has been removed yet in the scenario editor?

I've attached three files. The first two are the SCN and ORG files that I've been working on modifying for an updated version of the Canal Crossing. The specific area that I changed that caused the error was in Ugda 143, 14th Brigade, 407th Battalion. I wanted to delete the Commander (mot) and Bn HQ (mot) and replace with respective foot versions and add halftracks as transport.

I also included the error log. There appears to be quite a few errors with the aircraft components but I never touched those.

Really enjoy this game. My all time favorite but I struggle with the ORG editor from time to time.

Jason, narrowed it down to the SCN file. So I deleted it (no harm done) and created a new SCN file that works with the existing ORG file. So I am back in business. will probably make more mistakes as I go along but this is turning into a pretty good and historically accurate scenario. The after action report from the 14th Brigade (translated from Hebrew) is a wealth of good information.

It is in Hebrew but will ask you if you want to translate into English. Many different subsections, maps, personal accounts, unit histories etc. Most will translate but many of the scanned documents will not.

In addition to "The Crossing" by Azov, another excellent book on the subject is "At the Decisive Point in the Sinai" by Jacob Even who was Deputy Devision Commander of Sharon's Ugda 143.
