Question regarding the training of CV squadrons

I have a CV squadron with low experience pilots. How/Where do i train them? I am aware that you can put squadrons on training, so it is is more a question of where the squadron has to be to be trained.
a) while squadrons are on CV, the CV is in a TF. Will they train?
b)squadron is on CV, but the CV is in port and not part of a TF. Will they train?
c)CV is in port, and squadron is on a land air base ( so off loaded from CV). Will they train?
My guess: a) yes, c) yes but what about b)?

You can tell if they trained by the pilots having some fatigue (should keep it below say 15). Also by some of the pilots having a green skill number (indicates an increase in the previous turn).
IMO most efficient training is 100% and range 0. Height based on what skill are you training, either 100 (Strafe, DEF), 1000 (Low Nav, Low Gr, DEF) or 2k (everything else).
For Fighter XP training just put them on CAP duty, again 100%, range 0. If you put them too high, they will get too tired after a while 10k or more.

Bomber XP training is much harder, it usually means milk runs against undefended targets - watch out for CAP traps!

Pilots should still train on a CV if the CV is disbanded in a port. Not all training is flight training.

There may be some confusion here about what kind of training you are talking about.
If it is achievement of the "Carrier Trained" designation, that is achieved simply by being aboard a carrier for 90 (I think) days. That time period can be interrupted by putting the squadron ashore, but it does not reset the clock on the 90 days. When they get back on a carrier the clock will tick again. The Carrier Trained designation does not help directly with combat - it helps with coordination of strikes (forming up after takeoff) and possibly reduces losses on landings. The effect is seen in the Ops losses being slightly less.
Training in bombing, torpedo, defensive, and air combat skills is achieved the same as in land based aircraft. It does not matter if the pilots are taking off from a carrier or land base.
Experience is gained by a combination of skills progress and combat missions. Leaders can significantly affect the rate of training gains.

Correct. Set a unit to train and it will.
Ran some limited tests over 7 days, not a long time but I did run 10 tests with different air units. This is what I saw.
Units will train with zero ac but it's slow.
The presence of even one ready ac speeds up the unit's training. The more the merrier. Damaged/unready ac don't help.
Inactive piolts are not trained.
Fighter's seem to train slower then MBs, particularly with zero ac?
Training occurs on a CV disbanded in port. Did not test it at sea.
Tarining on a CVs seems to be slower than land. (Might be because it was disbanded and/or it's also carrier training)?

Probably all the servicing required after landing on a carrier - pushing the aircraft out of the way, striking it below, etc. Not to mention the underwear changes after making a carrier landing ...
