Recently I discovered that there is a hidden 20 ship threshold, unrelated to how much tonnage is contracted, before an MTH can offer the 2500 point contract. This is confusing in itself, leads to people assuming you can only contract 500 pt at a time, but while testing it I ran into some weirder behaviour.

8000 pts total
0 pts contracted
No 2500 pt option:




20 ships
10000 pts total
0 pts contracted
2500 pt option appears:




26 ships
13000 total
15000 pts contracted
2500 pt option is still there:

13000 total
17500 pts contracted
All the options inexplicably appear:




and the options stay there even when the MTH is nearly 300% overcontracted

imo, the 20 ship threshold before allowing 2500 pt contracts is the bigger problem gameplay-wise. Inconsistency in the later screenshots is just weird in contrast to how stingy the game is with showing the 2nd option early on.

I can provide saves if they're needed.

Increasing contract sizes on offer in next open beta. Big thanks for bringing this topic up.
