We want you, Achievement DWU

I know this is the DW2 forum, but I need help, I am going a bit insane trying to get this achievement in DW Universe. We want you, is the only one I am missing, been trying to get it for years. But no matter how many times I join the freedom alliance it never unlocks. What is missing here, it just says to join the alliance, but there must be some hidden conditions.
Do any veterans who have this achievement know what I need to do? I have read somewhere it requires a lot of empires to join, but in the last game there were like 10-12 factions that joined.

Apologies, I don't have any advice on that particular DWU achievement.
When I read the title, I interpreted it as "We want Achievements in DW2!". I was mostly just dropping in with emphatic support for that sentiment. Erik has mentioned that DW2 achievements are part of the long-term plan, but that they are too low on the priority list to rate a spot on the roadmap yet. I'm looking forward to them when the time comes!
Anyway, sorry for the derail, and best wishes on your hunt for the achievement. I hope someone here can give you the direction you need. Cheers!

No worries, yeah, I also really want them in DW2, sorry for my title being a bit confusing, will add DWU to the title. I usually would not post this on the DW2 forum, but the DWU forum is a bit dead, I think most players have moved on to 2 which makes sense.
So, chances are higher that some of the old timers are on this forum instead and might know. It would just feel nice to get the last one, especially since on paper it should be an easy one based on the description.
