Hi everyone !

Okay, I'm going to ask a stupid question AGAIN. Still in my game against dakkerm (#417086), a Russian naval brigade landed in Oulu (hex 180.85) and took control of the city and port. It is July 1941, the Baltic Sea is not frozen in ice. So why is my valiant unit not being supplied by sea? A level 2 port should provide 40 supply, no ? More enough than the 10 needed for my naval brigade.



Did I miss something ? A specific rule?

I think that a few patches ago, Soviet supply in the Baltic was limited and they now need to control certain hexes (along the Gulf of Finland maybe?). The exact hexes might be in the scenario notes.

I had a unit break through the lines and capture a German port and much to my surprise no supply...though it makes sense. The USSR needs air support to supply as it should. So I am good with the changes. Likely it should be triggered by date and ports controlled...
Though I am not sure of either.

Found it in the scenario notes. Allies now need to control Copenhagen or Helsinki to draw supply from Baltic ports.

Well, that breaks my whole strategy to quickly eliminate Finland. There are poor sailors who are going to die of starvation. And without ammunition. Too bad. We still lose creativity, even if this undoubtedly respects the historical situation. But it's still hard to explain why the Russian Baltic Fleet cannot resupply Oulu.

Well, we will crush the Finns with T34-85s in 1944 since we have no other choice.

If you still have a fleet in Leningrad, you can probably do naval supply until the winter at least to keep them alive.
