Stock plays, Sports Picks

Anyone got any good stock plays? Sports futures

Personally, I like Gas/Oil companies. BP 39.10, MRO 27.33, COP 124.50, CVX 167.23, XOM 118.52. Less drilling, demand has remained. Sell covered calls for little bit of more premium.

the Drug companies with new weight loss drugs: LLY 591.61, NVO 192.87 This will be a strong run for these

TSLA 276.04 (Tesla). They are owning this space and will remain.

College Football: Really like Notre Dame this year. With transfer QB from Wake Forest who is NFL ready, Fighting Irish could win in all. Usual favorites look not as impressive, Alabama, Clemson, USC (has no defense)

MLB: predicting Atlanta Braves. Lots of energy, young players with power/speed/pitching

Come on John, you know how this works. Got to ask yourself are you an investor or a gambler? If you an investor, then pick a sector that is out of favor. Purchase some "best of breeds", good, reliable dividend payers and perhaps one speculative. Wait for it to cycle through to favoritism and take some profits.

Now if your a gambler, well.....good luck, easy come.....easy go! ;)

Astros to repeat.

Astros are tough cookie to bet on/against for me.
Houston typically the favorite, laying juice cannot be good, dayin/dayout.
Alvarez is a beast, cost me plenty. Getting those *key 2-out, runners on base hits.
Altuve is plain, scary good.
The sign stealing was a matter of time, but not classy.

Baltimore been the surprise comeback team in '23.
Got lazy, back in May, Orioles could be had +2900, just to win the AL East, shove the casino ticket in a box, wait.

I'm still with the Braves, too many studs & speed.
Dodgers got some flashy celebrations, love to do the dance after a hit.

Playoffs always exciting, anybody can win.

Gas/Oil companies is where the play is. Been riding CVX, MRO
***SELL COVERED CALLS and chill***
9/26 BP 38.64, MRO 26.29, COP 120.49, CVX 167.80, XOM 116.41, LLY 550,01, NVO 91.81, TSLA 244.12
9/15 BP 39.10, MRO 27.33, COP 124.50, CVX 167.23, XOM 118.52, LLY 591.61, NVO 92.87, TSLA 276.04

Boom! Hope you caught a piece, trying to help you guys (and gals, and others) out.
Then you don't have to worry about coupons for a game.
And get paid at the tank.
Capitalism is beautiful.

Buy more Matrix games.

the two I said to play this week, I'm playing, up 2% and 5% just today.
(remember, feel free to sell covered calls for even safer conservative money).
Will let you know when that run is over. I figure February.

9/27 CVX 171.12, MRO 27.66

Think of the stock market, as a hex-based game.

Sell CVX Oct-13 170
Sell MRO Oct-6 27
Sell MRO Oct-13 27

Black Gold, Texas T

The eyes of Texas are upon you all the live long day
The eyes of Texas are upon you, you cannot get away
Do not think you can escape them at night or early in the morn
The eyes of Texas are upon you till Gabriel blows his horn

Gonna be an all Texas ALCS, and that means a Texas MLB team in the World Series.

But, the Phillies make me nervous!

Without a doubt, Texas Rangers been playing like the team of destiny.
My dumbass bet Baltimore in game #3, figured Orioles would catch a game.
Didn't want to lay the juice, was a loser in 2nd inning.

Dodgers swept. All those division wins, and only 1 WS, laughable.
Yet again, choke artist Clayton Kershaw in the playoffs.
Phillies are electric, can feel their energy, bye-bye Braves.

College football, there's no dominate offenses or standout individual players (yet).
I'm leaning Washington Huskies with their transfer QB, for a new face to make run.
Take your pick, among the usual suspects: Ohio State, Oklahoma, Georgia, etc...

NFL
Clearly, San Francisco 49ers look Super Bowl ready.
Kansas City, Philly, Buffalo, Miami and the surprise Detroit Lions are next tier.

NHL/NBA
way too early.

UFC Fight night is a decent card.
Yusuff should beat Barbosa
Michel Pereira is household name at -210
Elkins vs TJ Brown is on my radar
In chick fights, Yoder will win

Oil Stocks, CVX, XOM, MRO, etc and the Oil bigs came down off their highs
Keep selling them covered calls out couple weeks, rotate them (buyback, wait day, sell) on dips
Banks report today, like BAC, PNC, very beat up for obvious reasons. Not alot of insight, go small.

Well, you know I... I never got to bat in the major leagues. I would have liked to have had that chance. Just once. To stare down a big league pitcher. To stare him down, and just as he goes into his windup, wink. Make him think you know something he doesn't. That's what I wish for. Chance to squint at a sky so blue that it hurts your eyes just to look at it. To feel the tingling in your arm as you connect with the ball. To run the bases — stretch a double into a triple, and flop face-first into third, wrap your arms around the bag. That's my wish, Ray Kinsella. That's my wish. And is there enough magic out there in the moonlight to make this dream come true?

MLB
Astros winning game #3, gave them the obvious momentum to win game #4, great series, tied 2-2
Philles win both at home with ease. Lose a tight one in the 9th on road, lead 2-1

NCAAF
Oregon and Washington played classic, solid.
Saturday's Penn State at Ohio State is the big game. Expect lower scoring and close.
Duke, no respect as a road cookie, catching 14 at high powered Florida State
Lots of undefeated teams. Tough to handicap with weak schedules

NFL
San Fran, Miami, KC, Detroit are the power teams
Buffalo, Philly, slip to my 2nd tier, long season, early
Jacksonville improves record, but are they real, doubt it

NHL
Looks like last year, couple of mega power teams: Colorado
Too many to mention in the parity level. Long season, give time.

NBA
Season really does settle down, until January

Stock Market
only thing I trust with big bucks, is OIL
CVX 169
MRO 29
XOM 112

*keep selling covered calls
easy, just need break even to win 1.5% per week
put them out 1 to 2 weeks, few points above current price
buyback if big down day, wait, resell on upticks
if consecutive days slowly down, same thing.
No worries, Oil stocks are safe, current political financial leadership cannot fix it
Anything else, be wary of market. no more than 50% in stocks, put in 5% CDs, chill

Thanks Oil, hope you caught a piece, plus dividends and Covered Calls premiums.
