Air Search Radius

Post by Admiral DadMan »

Does anyone recall what an aircraft's effective search range is?

For Example: PBY Catalina-
  • Maximum (transfer) Range = 72 Hexes/ 2160 miles
  • Extended Range = 24hx / 740mi
  • Normal Range = 18hx / 520mi
Would Search Range be the Extended Range value?
Scenario 127: "Scraps of Paper"

Yes - extended range is used for "Naval Search" and "Naval Attack". It's in manual.
