"Ship is not damaged enough to detach"

Excuse me, they have enough flooding that they are going to sink in half an hour or so if they don't slow down.

So my option is, slow the whole division to 10 kt or let my cripple try to keep up at 25 kt and sink itself through excess flooding?

Unfortunately, if you detach the ship it will...run at max speed until it sinks.

I'm running into a completely different problem: the check for detaching a ship only checks for flooding, superstructure damage and disabled turrets. Jammed rudders, dead captains and engine/uptake damage are completely ignored.

We can take a look at detachment logic again.

Unless you are playing with captains mode, which I do, so I can take over those ships that are trying to kill themselves and make them slow down and play damage control.

Another issue os that ships on fire can't be detached if damage is still very low.

Does driving fast when you're on fire make it worse?
