I am currently running the version I purchased end of the year last year, V 1.0.0.1079 Jul 20 2009.
I am still studying this game and learning it as this is so huge. However I am not sure that there is a later version or updated version completed by Matrix. I hesitate to get the Public Beta version as it appears that changes weekly. My concern is, I have been running the Matrix version of EDBTR for many years and every time a new update comes out I have to start a new campaign. So I just don't update it anymore. I can't just update and continue my current campaign.

I have been working with many Tutorial series of WitP AE by various sources and I am seeing several features that are not in the version I am running but they may be custom mods, I don't know. Perhaps most are the Beta version.

I am interested in the Beta version but my question is, if I install the Public Beta version do I have to restart any campaign / Scenario I have running?

Is the Beta version Stable or are there problems with it?

I am asking because I am really liking this fantastic game. It is very challenging, which is what I like. But, it requires so much time investment I don't want to keep restarting campaigns every month. I want to play through.

I strongly advise updating to version 26A (available on the Matrix site where you downloaded the base game) and then running the beta version 26B. I do not recommend 27B version as I find it adds a lot of problems and doesn't bring enough to the table.

Thank you so much for your reply. I have been viewing many of your Tutorial videos and find them extremely informative on this fantastic game. I will take your advice and get the updates you recommend Sir. Probably late in the week when I am not so pressed for time.

I have so much to learn but I know it will be worth it. Thank you for all your work in producing these informative videos and helping us in the community understand this game and others so much better.
