GAME EVENT Recurrence Confusion

-- ======================================================================================================-- ===
-- === Looks like this "should" be valid from 1941-12-15 through 1942-03-01 with a 10% chance of being checked each turn
-- === BUT, does the GAME EVENT where it is set to INACTIVE make it so it will only execute once on 1941-12-15?

event 14 must pas the date check before it checks against the locations. once al checks are passed it fires and activates the otehr event.
event 14 is disabled by iself once it fires (passing all condition checks). Otherwise it runs out with date expiration

So. With a recurrence of 1, Event 14 will execute every day between 1941-12-15 and 1942-03-01 and IF Leningrad and Terijoki are Axis controlled there is a 10% chance that the events will happen and then it will deactivate itself?

But what about Event 12? the Recurrence in that one is 0 so doesn't that mean it only executes ONCE? And if that's the case
unless the Soviets control Kingisepp, Luga and Novgorod on 1943-06-01 (or the one time this event fires) there will be no Soviet invasion of Finland.

May I get some clarification on this please?

Recurrence of 0 actually means it checks every turn, but if it activates, then the event is set to inactive. So it will check every turn, but will only happen once. Recurrence >0 allows it to happen more than once so if you want it to happen once, at that point you have to have the event deactivate itself.

Example 1
==== Scenario date >= 1941-06-22 [earliest date for this event]
====
0124 ACTIVE Date: 1943-03-01 More Men for the Ground Forces
Expire: 1943-06-20
Probability: <no check>
Recurrence: 0
+--> 39,000 men added to German manpower pool (x15 = 586k total)

So the above would execute from 1943-03-01 thru 1943-06-21 adding 39,000 men to the German manpower pool each turn and then after 1943-06-20 turn itself off and become inactive?

Example 2
==== Set ACTIVE by 0003-Continuation War
====
==== Scenario date >= 1941-12-15 [earliest date for event]
==== Leningrad and Terijoki controlled by Axis [axis must control these]
====
0014 ACTIVE Date: <condition> Axis Capture Leningrad
Expire: 1942-03-01
Probability: 10% == 10% chance
Recurrence: 1 == checked every day
+--> 2nd Finnish Infantry Division arrives on map
+--> 3rd Finnish Infantry Division arrives on map
+--> 6th Finnish Infantry Division arrives on map
+--> Finland TB (Axis) ground requirements decrease to 210
GAME EVENT --> 0014-Axis Capture Leningrad set to INACTIVE

The above would check every turn between 1941-12-15 and 1942-03-01 that the Axis controls Leningrad and Terijoki. If they do then there is a 10% chance that this event would activate and then after executing would deactivate itself?

Eample 3
==== Scenario date >= 1942-08-01 [earliest date for event]
====
0194 ACTIVE Date: 1943-01-23 Tripoli Falls
Expire: <never>
Probability: <no check>
Recurrance: 0
+--> Tripolitania region captured by WA

This event is set to trigger on 1943-01-23 but if the time line is moved forward can execute as early as 1942-08-01. Once it executes it will disable itself?

Example 4
====
====
0094 ACTIVE Date: 1942-01-01 Rumania Surrenders
Expire: <never>
Probability: 50 % == 50% chance
Recurance: 1 == checked every turn
+--> Rumania surrenders
+--> Pro-Soviet 1st and 4th Rumanian Armies have their delays set to 1
+--> Balkans TB (Axis) air requirements set to 0
GAME EVENT --> 0081-Bulgaria Switches Side set to ACTIVE and date set to 14 days from game date
GAME EVENT --> 0120-SU Offensive on Belgrade set to ACTIVE and date set to 28 days from game date

This event starts checking every day from 1942-01-01 and each day it checks there is a 50% chance that it will execute, Once it executes it will disable itself?

Am I describing what these would do correctly? Example 1 is a modification I'm thinking about and I'm still wondering if I have the Recurrence right.

Thank you

It would check each turn during that period of time, but as soon as it activated, it would deactivate itself (because Recurrence 0 means happens once). Exactly what it did would depend on the Action in the event. If you are just adding 39k to the manpower pool each turn, and wanted to do it each turn, then make Recurrence 1. If the action is a manpower multiplier mod, then you can have it go inactive and the mod would remain in place until another event zeroed it out.
