Ok - here it is. Still in Day 4 of the battle and it is close to coming to an end. Although I am slightly ahead by the victory meter, another day is left and the city battle is fierce.

Regarding figure 4 - 30 Corp Field Engineers

There is a comment that the engineers moved to occupy the wooded high ground.

From the screen shot, how can we tell that it is high ground?

Altitude or height is indicated by the contour layers. The darker the colour the higher the altitude. Unfortunately, the map is darkened a fair bit because it's night time, which makes it hard for tired eyes like mine. You will often also see a spot height or other text description on major high points, such as "Hill 64.6".
