Their RPGs seem to kill tanks and IFVs really well when set to point blank in well hidden positions. I just had 79% survival rate in the new scenario Neckar line and the infantry did most of the job.

The best way to use infantry in the defense is to put them in good, concealed terrain, set their fire disciple to "point blank" and let them enemy come to them. At close range, infantry can be very deadly even to tanks.

French infantry carry about twice the anti-tank weapons of a standard NATO infantry unit and in a well-placed ambush can wreck a decent force of enemy units, including tanks.

I hope there will be campaign with the french in the future. (Or maybe in central storm).

As their AMX-30 are mobile but nor heavily armored nor heavily armed (and they have good artillery), it looks like we have to play them like the soviets.....

It is fun.

A French campaign and some additional scenarios are in the works for Southern Storm. We are looking to have them out with the subsequent updates for the game by the end of the year.
