I have just updated EDBTR to version 1.06.77 and commenced a new Allied 43 Campaign.

After transferring some Squadrons I commenced the Recon Missions

1) 2995 Barcellona in Sicily has 12 A/682 Sq. Spitfire P.R.IV's available. For the first recon mission , I used 1 of these to recon 1860 Palazzi Radar Station ( range 16)

2) I then proceeded to prepare the 2nd recon mission to 357 Palazzi PRI AF . When I came to choose the aircraft for this second mission the 11 remaining Spitfires at Barcellona had vanished and the nearest available to use were F-5A Lightnings at Ponte Olivo at Range 87.

HOWEVER

I started a new Campaign again and this time did not transfer any Squadrons prior to preparing Recon Missions.

After the first recon mission to Palazzi Radar Station ( 1 A/682 Spitfire ) I was able to choose a further A/682 Squadron aircraft for the subsequent mission.The 11 Spitfires were shown as available for use.

THEN

I then started a 3rd Campaign , transferred Squadrons and had the same missing aircraft at Barcellona.

Have I found a bug or am I doing something wrong ( probably the latter )?

I would appreciate any advice on this matter as I would like to transfer some squadrons to more favourable positions.

P.S - re Point 2 -- If I remember correctly , after using the F-5A Lightnings at Ponte Olivo , these also disappeared when I came to prepare the 3rd Recon Mission.

It could take a few days for the transfer to complete depending on the distance. This was added a few versions ago. The group display should list all the planes that were ready as "moving". Check the status by listing air units, or in the OOB display and let me know what you see.

The planes I am using for the recon missions are not part of any squadrons transferred ( the transferred Squadron aircraft show as "0" available anyway once the transfer has been completed ).

Neither were any transferred squadrons moved to the Airfields from which the Recons departed.

The Airfields used for recon have full numbers of Squadrons available but as I have said , used once for recon , the Squadron just is not shown in the list anymore.

OK, I'm able to repeat this and it's logged as a definite bug. Happens with intruders too. I think it's an easy fix but as a workaround you will have to finish plotting all your recon and intruder missions first, then move your squadrons.

I think this is a collateral bug from when I fixed the 2nd raid bug.

I discovered that this bug has existed in it's basic form since the original matrix release in 2009 (to my relief). If you sent recon/intruder missions out and then moved your squadrons, your recon and intruder groups would reset to maximum ready planes. This caused issues if you continued to create missions with your new phantom-ready planes. My edits for the launch issue bugs just made these groups disappear. This all has been fixed for the upcoming public beta.
