Yugo goes axis in a MP game??

a guy on steam hit me up for a MP game, and i accepted
i'm the allies, and have been playing a fairly non chalant game
somehow he has managed to diplomatically get Yugo to join the Axis
i had no idea this was possible
what am i misssing?

Hum... it seems you are playing with diplomacy
on. Not fair if you did not know it as he probably pushed Yugoslavia toward him without you realizing it and therefore not trying to push it the other way.

I created the game
I didn’t touch diplomacy
Should I have clicked something concerning diplomacy?

I believe it is on by default...
I never use it because it is just to much of an advantage for the Axis if I remember...
Maybe the other way too but I really have never tried it.

it's weird-
creating a MP game, i see no option to turn diplomacy on/off
additionally in the game, i see no diplomatic actions available for me
i'm assuming they'd be under the flag(war status) screen with the icons on the right, yet all of mine are disabled with every nation
i have created a few MP games before, i think, and diplomacy has never come into play, and i have never turned off diplo, as i never knew how to

the game starts with diplomacy off by default-and i never changed it
i have no diplomatic options in the MP game
yet my opponent has effectively managed diplo
something seems off?

Another possibility...what version are you playing?
There was an OLD issue if the Axis could take Greece before a 3/1/41 Yugoslavia would join the Axis.
Do you remember seeing this?
"With Greece under Axis control Prince Paul of Yugoslavia sign the Tripartite Pact."
That code was removed a while ago but never know.

and this happened before the battle of france-greece is still neutral

apparently you can just turn the diplo on in a MP game even though default is off
that is what happened
