I decided not to pre-order based on a few... erm... unsatisfying experiences with a few erm... unnamed commercial and government delivery services.

Plus, I'll be buying for a LAN so I'm not sure how many copies I'm going to be able to talk my lame LAN buddies into buying. Once they see me playing it and hear me making fun of them because they're still using 1.4, I figure they'll be off to buy a copy ASAP (which will save me enough money to get KP too, not to mention extra beer and crunchy junk food for the WS LAN-a-thon next weekend).

Smarter than the average bear, I am. :D

I pre-ordered. My copy will be in on the 7th.
The anticipation is killing me.

ARGH! If I were just a wee bit further north...

Still good news though, it means that my local stores will definitely have WS on-shelf within a few days (tomorrow would be reeeeally nice ;)).

You can always order it directly from our on-line store...

we need to update the "pre-order" message - it is IN-STOCK and can be in your hands via mail order - cheep methods get it to you in (in the US) 3-5 business days.

In Sourthern Illinios, EB is changing their dates day to day, and Babbages is saying the 7th. I would order from Matrix directly, but I am not going to pay 9 dollars in shipping. I order many different games from online sellers and never have they charged over 5 dollars for the exact same service. I will wait and save money by buying locally. Exactly why does Matrix shaft you on the shipping?

We do not make these prices up, if you see online stores that have it a tad cheaper then they most probably have extra agreements or discounts with the parcel / mail service. We, or better Digital River who runs these things for us, apparently do not have I´m afraid.

Ever wondered why Amazon can afford the "insane" low shipping ;) ?

Well maybe it is time such an "agreement" was made. I would be more than happy to buy direct, but the prices are not competitive. GoGamer.com offers Titans of Steel for 24.99 +5 dollars S&H 2 Buisness day service. Now why whould anyone buy directly from Matrix when you could save near 10 dollars elsewhere.

And then pushed back one more day...

Here is my story (germany):

FedEx is trying to deliver for 3 days now. Each time they have failed to locate my address. Not even a card was left so I must guess they were in the wrong building/street/town.

I had to call them today and redirect the package to my office address. Hope they will find it tomorrow, its a 14 floor building. Should be big enough.

Larkin...

Might be big enough...

But to many floors ;)

If this fails:
It seems THQ intends to make TOS:WS available to the masses; shops can be preorder it from them (they state a release date of 1. of September) and it should soon be available soon from every major electronics store here in germany.
