Noticed that DD's without any upgrades are inflicting 2 hits on subs. Don't remember them being so effective before. Did something change in an update at some point in the last year? Seeing this in World at War as well.

Just had a French DD with 8 hit an Austrian sub for 3 in one go. Neither have any improvements.

I've checked and the last change to sub and destroyers' respective combat statistics was in April 2021.

Other factors can be at play here, especially Naval Warfare research, supply, readiness, morale, and of course, luck on the dice.

So DD's can hit for 2-3 points against subs with no upgrades? Seems pretty lopsided. I've got 4-5 strength DD's that are "grey" for readiness inflicting hits on fresh, full strength subs. Combat results table must have a wide margin for potential results.
