Basically, as the title says.

Is it possible to change the maximum possible displacement of the different ship types? And if so, how would I go about it? I haven't been able to find the relevant details in the save file.

By max displacement I mean the hard cap of 3800t for Destroyers and 69000t for Carriers etc.

Carriers, AFAIK, are date-limited on displacement, and should unlock at 100,000t displacement.

Not sure on the DD front, but out of interest have you tried creating/modifying a tech?

The 100,000t displacement - however - is in place due to engine limitations.

All the ship classification rules are hardcoded, so the only way to change them is by hex-editing RTW3.exe.

Ah, I see. Do you know when they unlock? I've gotten to around 1970ish and am still stuck with the 69000t limit.

Not off-hand, I tend to stop about 1950s.
