Raiding resetting technic progress

When gaining tech progress by raiding a planet, my current research progress often gets reset and even goes negative. As in I might go from 90% complete to -54% complete. And then have to research it from -54% to 0% to 100%.

Thanks for the report! Do you have save you could share with us that demonstrates the issue? Ideally a save from before the raid starts.

Same issue here
Just do any raid on a planet and have this event popup and you will be in research debt for the current tech your researching for a long time. Set my tech progress to -567%
Sadly can´t attach a saved game file, my save files are 28 MB and we are max alowed 10 MB.

If you haven't tried that yet, you could try compressing the saved file with 7-zip. It's a free open-source file compressor. Since I've started using it, I've always been able to compress my saved files enough to be able to attach them to my bug reports.

As noted by 100th Monkey, please try compressing/zipping up your save and uploading it here. Alternatively, you can share your save through a file-sharing service such as WeTransfer, DropBox, or Google Drive.

Arhh did´t think about zipping it.
Here you go, just press 2 to get my army fleet and it´s parked right next to and independt world ready to be raided.
It can take a few attempts to get the tech boost. But should work with most techs.

On a side note. If you can get tech from raiding, do make sure to put in some countermeassures, so you simply can´t make a few raiding fleets and keep raiding the same planets and reach the end of the tech tree in no time. Will make the game way to easy. Though it could be a mechanism, if/when you get to implement pirates.
