Can somebody explain why we have gone straight to Shadow of the Tsars in this tournament? I though the next scenario would be the Lion of Africa one? What's happened here? Also i was hoping that since this a more complex scenario we would be having a bit more time to play this (like at least 45 days) rather than the 30 days for the previous one?

It appears that both this and the next round will be Shadow of the Tsars. I can only apologise for this, and unfortunately we do not appear to be able to change it at this point. So you will get to fight the Russian Civil War twice.

Update: the 3rd and final round will be playing the 1916 Lion of Africa campaign, so all that has changed is the order in which you will be playing.

In due course it is hoped that this functionality will become active, I am not exactly sure when yet though.
