Patterns of Submarine Mining Missions

Hello,
I generated two mining areas. One is a line defined by two reference points, the other is a rectangle. Both are valid acc. to area check in Mission Editor.
My expectation would be, that the mines are laid out randomly along the line respectively within the rectangle.

What I observe is that in case of the line, the mines are dropped prematurely, before the sub arrives the first reference point. In case of the rectangle all mines are laid in a very tiny area within the rectangle.

I think the top mining mission is suffering from the slack given to when it decides if it has reached the mining area; may not be catering for a single point-point 'area'.
Will check it out.

Hi,
I would consider this as "Partially Fixed". Mines are now laid between point and not before reaching them. But still very close to each other. It gets a little better if just one instead of two torpedo tubes is loaded with mines, but still to densely.

Still an issue with 1405, this time the upper sub got stuck on the first reference point of the mining track.

You should have taken part in the private/internal beta testing.

I wonder what happened to michaelm? This was his last post.
