One problem with the 1943-45 campaign is the power of Axis naval air. If the Germans aggressively use their bombers, they can devastate Allied naval TFs. Even if the Germans lose all their bombers in the process, the Allies can't win if they do amphibious landings.

My current opponent and I are trying to devise solutions. He has suggested limiting Axis naval patrol missions to naval air squadrons, rather than regular bombers. I wonder if that might be too restrictive for the Axis. Any thoughts?

Just checking, in your game are the allies flying aggressive air superiority missions over the amphib zones? Agressively bombing Axis airfields? Would have thought it would be difficult for the Germans to sustain much if these two are being done with intensity...
