Hi there,

I'm trying to launch an ED 40 PBEM game. I should, as defender, begin with a movement phase at turn 0, play it and send the folder to my opponent. Instead, I get the attacker side, and an end of game message telling me the game is over and lost.

When I try to launch BTR and ED 41 game, everything works well. I tried to reinstall the game and the ED game worked, before I install the latest update, at wich point the issue reappeared.

Does anyone have the same problem ? Any solution at sight ?

This is an odd one and I'm looking into it. Thanks for posting it.

In fact, maybe not so odd : I found this 2 years old message with someone having a problem very close to mine. I guess the 2 things are related. My issue only concerns the ED40 1month and long campains.

Yep, I guess I didn't fix it enough back then - the BoB40 long campaigns check for the 31-day sudden death, which because of a simple code error fails at turn 0 and the Germans lose instantly. Bob41 and the BTR's work fine, as you say. Fixed and tested pbem on 2 independent machines, and the mislabeling of the player sides when selecting a multiplayer handle.

This fix will be in the patch due in January.
