Error on sprites flags on map

Hi all. I am new to this series and last week I bought SC:WiE. I am still learning the ropes of the game. I was trying the settings on the game, mainly graphical, and whenever I enable the included "unfortunate's son counter MOD" I get this national flags bugged on the cities (see screenshot)
. Is this a known issue or is there a way to correct it?

Yup. Something is definitely off centered or misaligned there. Not only are the flags partly missing, but they are the wrong ones. The British flag appears to be on Brussels and the Danish flag on Paris.

Yes. Also that. This only happens with Unfortunate son's MOD.

One possible solution might be to take the unit_counter_flag_sprites.png files from one of the working mods bitmap files and place it into the Unfortunate Son bitmap folder to overwrite the erroneous flag art files. Or contact Unfortunate Son himself.

But the mod is included in the game (as for the latest patch), that is why I posted it here.

Yeah, it seems like it should have been working fine from the start. I haven't heard of anyone else having issues with this mod.

There could be a bug introduced when this graphic mod got sent to Matrix to be processed with the newest version. I had the mod file in installed before it got sent out to Matrix so I was allowed to do a promotional video covering Unfortunate Son's Counter Mod. Something is strange indeed though, as I have the latest game version...and it works fine for me. However, the Unfortunate Son graphic mod file I have installed features the historical flags..e.g. there's swastikas on the HQs and Berlin. Ray was requested to change that to the Iron Cross like vanilla just before the files were sent to Matrix to be processed.
There is another bug introduced with transports and possibly other things too. Probably unrelated but who knows. I'm sure it will get sorted out.

Actually, before posting this I watched your video about the mod to check if the issue would appear too. But I understand that you had the mod installed manually. Perhaps installing the mod manually will temporarily solve the issue. Is there a link to the mod?

PM me an email address and I could sent the file via WeTransfer. I have the 'Historical Flag' version. The only change is Germany as noted above.
The path to drop this will be Doc>My Games>War in Europe>Mod.
I also contacted Ray (Unfortunate Son) so he may set up a DropBox too.

The issue was fixed by installing the standalone Unfortunate son's mod.

For a quick alternative fix, if you navigate to the mod 'Bitmaps' folder, e.g.:
\Program Files (x86)\Matrix Games\Strategic Command WWII - War in Europe\Community Pack\Mods\Unfortunate Son's Counter MOD\Bitmaps
Then delete the file called 'resource_flag_sprites.png' that should fix it.
If the game is installed on Steam, it would be this folder here:
\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Strategic Command WWII War in Europe\Community Pack\Mods\Unfortunate Son's Counter MOD\Bitmaps
