If the aviation support reads 132 + 36 what does that mean
Thx

This means you have 132 AV for land-based aircraft and 36 AV for all kinds of floatplanes/patrol boats (Catalinas, Mavis etc). The 36 AV likely comes from AV and AVD ships disbanded in the base your aircraft are in.

And AVP vessels. Over on the right of the ship page it tells you how many seaplanes it can support. A few of the Allied AVs can also embark a few seaplanes (IIRC AV Curtiss is one), while a lot of the Japanese AVs can embark seaplanes.

Actually, not quite correct. The 132 AV is for
all aircraft while the 36 is only for the float planes and/or patrol boats so in that second part, you are correct.

Not a problem to be worried about, I just like to have the correct information out there for new people. If I am ever incorrect about something, entirely or partly, I wish that someone would inform me of that.
One nice thing about the land based air support helping float planes and flying boats, a few air support squads can be flown in to a dot base along with any needed supplies without risking a ship. Then the float planes and/or flying boats can be transferred there and operate. That would be a nice tactic for float planes and flying boats to attack Allied shipping in the enemies rear areas! Then the surviving planes can leave. But think of that tactic with kamikaze Jakes attacking merchant ships away from enemy bases with fighters on CAP, that could slow down the Allied advance a little bit.

Float planes won't NAV attack from dot bases though. They will fly NAV Search or Recon, which is useful, of course.

But those search aircraft have also bombed ship and some of them sank. Especially the loaded tankers . . .
