Win98SE, 512meg RAM, AMD XP 2000+ CPU, Nvidia GeForce 4 Ti4200

During install, (with music playing) VERY slow CD access, 30 minutes to barely install several files. Had to run SETUP2.EXE manually to install (without music playing).

Either the CD or your drive seems to be broken. Slow install is usually a sign of a scratched CD were the drive tries several reads with error correction.

Sometimes the backside of the CD has some dirt or grease on it which can be cleaned with a very soft cotton wool.

It was straight out of the box.

I have a Optorite DVD writer and a LiteOn CD writer installed. Used the LiteOn drive to do the install from.

I also have Daemon Tools installed, which create virtual cd drives.

Before I tried the setup2.exe file, I was only able to install (mostly)-successfully by using CloneCD to make an image of the cd, mount it, and install from that. For some reason, that made several zero-length files in the images dir (hence the original subject line for this thread).

As I said, running setup2.exe fixed it for me, installed everything correctly with no zero-length files.

No idea why I had problems with the normal install program.

Anyway, in the end it works fine! Thats the main thing.

Great game! Thanks for creating it!
