Naval logistics...how do they work?

Heyo all, first thread post by me here.

I am playing on oceania, latest beta 1.25E on a gaia world.

I have several different islands I'm established on and for the life of me can't quite figure out ocean logistics. I've got ports on all 3 islands. I've got shipping contracts.

Island A has a level 3 port with access to islands B (level 2 port) and C (level 1 port). Why are goods not flowing from B and C to A?

As far as I can tell I have logistics going to B and C from A as my units aren't starving and I have spare logi points as I can move stuff back to A from B and C manually. B is a recruiting center for colonists and troops thanks to a cloning facility so I ship them to A to colonize C. All islands are in one SHQ.

I guess my question is do I need to make bigger ports or do I need to save up the ungodly amount of credits needed to buy out an entire MTH for logistics. Or just more shipping contracts? I'm confused but willing to provide info if needed.

Check your SHQ's Unit Admin screen (button near the bottom of the right-side panel). If I remember correctly, item shipments from zones to SHQ by sea are disabled by default. Once enabled, you will also have to call governors and tell them to stop shipping in dumb stuff like water.

Oh thanks. I feel really stupid because I had opened up the SHQ early on in the session to check %s going to units and what not.

Super useful and kinda weird they have it turned off by default. The micro-ing of what to send and not is *waggles hand*. But this *is* Shadow Empire I guess.
