How to setup or chance the graphics for races?

I manage to change some details on the original DW, by adding Ridley Scott's Alien Specie in the game. It was tricky, by adding infos and bios about it and as well graphic setup.
So this one in DW2, cant seem to find a way to change or customize alien graphic portraits. I didnt care for the backroom, i got that animation disabled. Just showing a room, etc. Only thing i am trying to do is change the portrait of that race (game setup) and ingame who control it. It look like a little avatar.
Can anyone help? Btw i tried watching that video ingame folder, but i am hearing impaired and i couldnt understand what going on. The document explains the modding, wasnt enough details. Checked the roadmap, download that editor or whatever that tool is, didnt work either.
