Not really having a lot of time to play, I am doing a quick weekend against AI with the excellent Deluxe AWD 1.061 mod.
I will try to improve myself as Allies with all the lessons I have learned lately.

Germany (AI) - Summer 39:
Germany is invading Western Poland as planned. This was hopeless. However, three German infantry armies are damaged.

Denmark is next.

The war machine is more than started for Germany.

Japan (AI) - Summer 1939:
In China, the Japanese are invading Foochow.

Looks like their priorities are on supply.

---

---

USSR (Me) - Summer 1939:
I am moving one Soviet infantry army near the border with Germany to try to increase my war readiness level.

With a lot of damaged factories inside the country, I am focusing on supply to repair them as quickly as possible.

---

China (Me) - Summer 1939:
Not much to report in China, I am putting supplies in key positions to allow my forces to defend.

---

---

My production is what it is. But, at least, I can produce something each turn in this mod.

Western Allies(Me) - Summer 1939:
No German subs have been detected so far. They are surely there, somewhere.

With all the convoy lanes opened, I am moving the Western Desert Force south with some reinforcements from the home island near Italian East Africa. My goal is to strike it quickly just after Italy is going to war.

I am moving a DD fleet near Island to eventually counter any sub moves.

I am upgrading the technology level of my infantry armies, hoping to stop the Panzers in France.

Germany (AI) - Fall 39:
The Luftwaffe is trying to destroy factories in France without success. Still no subs, they must be waiting for an upgrade.

Japan (AI) - Fall 39:
Japanese are more successful in China and manage to destroy the rail network in Nanyang.

---

USSR (Me) - Fall 1939:
With the few supplies available, I am increasing my spying network in Germany and in Western countries (UK and USA). My goal is to steal lots of technology from them.

My war readiness is still pretty low. I will continue to bring more troops in Eastern Poland.

---

---

And, I continue to repair factories.

Western Allies (Me) - Fall 1939:
I am bringing supplies in Rangoon for China next turn.

I am producing supplies and new units in France to defeat Germany on the Maginot line.

Germany (AI) - Winter 1940:
Disaster! The Germans decide to bypass the Maginot line by violating the neutrality of Belgium.

USSR (Me) - Winter 1940:
My war readiness is slowly increasing.

---

---

One armored corps is ready as well as few supply trucks

China (Me) - Winter 1940:
Once again, welcomed supply trucks from Western Allies are distributed on the frontline.

Western Allies (Me) - Winter 1940:
Cairo is reinforced to prevent the Axis to go to the oil fields in Iraq.

---

I strongly invest in ULTRA to help me with enemy detection and incoming combats.

---

Western Allies (Me) - Winter 1940:
I am also improving my fighters and building few of them to counter the Luftwaffe.

Germany (AI) - Spring 1940:
France is falling. Despite one RAF unit detached into France, the Luftwaffe is better than us. French flak is ineffective.

Germany (AI) - Spring 1940:
While several German infantry armies become veteran units, the French armored units are doing their job containing the German Panzer units, damaging few of them.

USSR (Me) - Spring 1940:
But Germany is paying a price for its success in France. The Polish border is lacking strength which causes a boost to Soviet's war readiness.

All our factories are now online and we continue to improve our technology levels either by research either by spying.

China (Me) - Spring 1940:
China is quiet, just moving supply trucks and producing very few units mainly artillery and flak units.

Western Allies (Me) - Spring 1940:
In France, the Luftwaffe has two fighter units. While the RAF has twice as many.

Now that Italy is at war with us, this is time to destroy the Italian threat to our Red Sea supply lane.

Western Allies (Me) - Spring 1940:
All UK ground units have enough supplies for the attack and the Royal Navy is helping us.

Western Allies (Me) - Spring 1940:
This is a success for the UK forces. The Western Desert Force even becomes a veteran unit. But while the situation is stabilized south of the Red Sea, a coup in Syria is again threatening our weak forces in the area.
