A friend of mine was interested, in spite of all what I have explained him, but it seems you can not buy the game at Slitherin store right now pressing the yellow button, like you can in any other game...

Dont think he will buy it after all because he was counting on the discount price that ended JAN 8th but anyway it surprised me, and I also thought I should publish in case Steve is interested on why it is not available.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. We have not deliberately removed MWIF from sale. I'm checking on this now and we'll fix it ASAP. I suspect it's an unintended consequence of some other store maintenance that was going on.

This should now be fixed. The issue here is that we were out of physical product and we've been doing a pass through the store to update a lot of games to download only. The physical option for printed manuals and map packs was supposed to be removed (and since the Map Pack was physical only that is now discontinued), but the download version of MWIF remains available for sale and there are no plans to change that.

I purchased the game with Map Pack. I have 10 ft ceiling and have the maps mounted on galvanized steel on the wall. I have a 2 ft rolling scaffold for the few times one of the players need to reach the top of the map. We use magnetic clips to hold the counters. Because the clips are slightly larger than the counters, in areas where the counter become concentrated, actually hex to counter alignment becomes difficult. Before I had the MWiF maps, I had taken a JPEG of the original maps of the board game and had it printed 25% larger so that the counter clips and hexes could be easily aligned. Since the physical map is no long available for purchase, would it be possible to acquire a digital file of the MWIFs map so that I could get it printed at +25%?

Here is a png of the entire map made from zoom level 4 screen shots and stitched together. The only place that is a bit out of alignment is the desert area north of South Africa.

My image viewer tells me it is 13' 7.5" wide by a teensy under 8' high.

PS: I could never play the CW on a set-up like yours. My back is no longer up to that much crouching.

I took the global map and added the high Arctic and Antarctic. I then used a plugin for Paint.NET to wrap it around a sphere and added lighting. I took 360 screenshots, rotating said sphere one degree each time. Then I fed those to a GIF creator. I was amazed at how well it turned out, although it was quite a bit of work.

It gives a good idea of the scale of things. The Pacific Theatre is huge.
