ADDED: #15453: Add ability to place reference points relative to any unit or any reference point

I have been playing with this new capability to track enemy units. So far it works perfectly. Its an incredibly useful tool for monitoring and shadowing a unit without having to go into the scenario editor or use relatively complex lua routines.

Kind of surprised it was not commented on already. It has been requested numerous times specifically and indirectly. Haven't quite figured out the logic for needing to use an RP to track another RP.

Yes, I agree that it's a very nice feature.
At least for me makes it simplifies some of my workload :D

Be aware if you lose contact with the unit the reference point will become dissociated and will not re-associate if it is detected again later.

Ah I see this in the notes!

But I can't seem to figure out how to actually do it?

Can one of you clue me in?

EDIT: Never mind, i figured it out, turns out I misread the new feature. I thought it was an ability to tell the system to add a reference point at a certain bearing and range from a unit.

Thats the first thing I checked. And its exactly how I want it to work. I like how it continues to track the center of the contact until it disappears completely. Did anyone expect it to work differently?
