Swapped icons

I have been wracking my brain and have not been able to solve this one, so I am asking for help from the experts.

In my Orb & Crown mod, I am using the same Interface\flag_sprites.png and \game_screen_national_symbols_sprites.png in both the War in Europe and World at War versions. However, as you can see in this comparison, the national icons from the left of the GUI are swapped, although the data and the country that they represent are correct.

This only occurs for the #SIDE= 2 (Allies). The third country down (pyramid in WiE) is #COUNTRY_ID= 54 and the 4th country down (horse in WiE) is #COUNTRY_ID= 45. These are correct. The icons for WaW are swapped and this becomes confusing when playing, of course. As you can see, the national data is the same (MPP, mobilization, and hover text).

Any help would be appreciated as I have even gone down a Da Vinci Code path, wondering if the reverse of 45 being 54 and vice versa is relevant. :)

That is odd, and not sure really without seeing it possibly first hand, do you have download links handy for both the WiE and WaW versions of the mod so I can take a closer look?

This is the Dropbox link to both versions. Thanks for looking at this.

Thanks, took a quick look and it looks like in the WaW version you have the following:

Ancients (45)
Mul'kan (54)

and in WiE it is the other way around:

Ancients (54)
Mul'kan (45)

You can see this in the Country Data screen of the Editor where it shows which country uses which country ID slot.

Hope this helps!
Hubert

That's where my confusion is coming from - both have the same localization.txt file where Mul'Kan (45) and Ancients (54) are listed but WaW swaps the icons and has Mul'Kan (54) and Ancients (45). I'm not sure how to fix that as I thought the localization file did that allocation.

Edit: Scripts that reference those IDs are working correctly - so #COUNTRY_ID= 54 will affect Ancients, as intended. Ones for 45 affect Mul'Kan. It's only those swapped icons that is amiss. Nothing urgent, of course.

Another edit: The NM flags at the top of the screen also show the correct icons.

Yet another edit: The icons are switched on the Diplomacy, and War Map dialog boxes, too. It looks like these use the same image file that is used on the left side of the GUI. I expect that means I could simply swap those flags over in the file but that wouldn't fix the underlying issue.

Send me your latest correct version, either for WiE or for WaW (e.g. whichever is correct), and I'll try and do a quick convert for you for the version of the game that is incorrect.

Looks like something got corrupted there and I should be able to quickly adjust this for you.

Thanks, Hubert. The Dropbox link is in the 3rd post above. No hurry, and I appreciate your time and effort on this. The WiE one is correct and WaW has the swapped icons.
