Morale effects/surrendering

I'm not sure if this makes sense at the current game scale, but a system that implements a "surrender" mechanic under certain conditions (e.g. a single unit surrounded by overwhelmingly superior enemy forces) would help significantly with "unkillable" last squads within a unit. Potential criteria could include whether a unit is in a hex with/within X hexes of another friendly unit, whether a unit is under sustained indirect and/or direct fire, and the unit's supply situation (ammunition).

Any thoughts regarding this?

We are looking into this situation and have some ideas. Something we will deal with in the near future.

Thanks, that is definitely good to hear.

I would further suggest (although I assume it has been taken into account) that the nation and/or unit type should play a role in the logic (for instance, a squad of conscripts from Czechoslovakia/Poland/East Germany surrenders more easily under the same conditions than a Guards or Spetsnatz unit).
