Got Desert War working--one last question

Oh hurrah! She's up and running! One quick note: it took me about an hour to solve my problem because the stickied help is a bit out of date. In fact, when I installed SPWAW (version 7.1), it DID put it into a directory labelled "Matrix Games" rather than "MatrixGames" (as several of the posters suggested--I assume this was true for some iteration of SPWAW). I obviously could have discovered this myself much earlier than I did, but I trying to follow the directions faithfully. What did work, however, was making the install directory for the campaign "Matrix Games/Steel Panthers World at War" and cutting off the end of the default install directory.

However, I did continue to get the three "could not move files" error statements. I saw that others were able to play on despite this--did they encounter problems later or is it safe to assume that all's well?

Thanks! Looking forward to showing the Brits what for!

Wait till you come up against Matildas. About all you can do with those 37L46's is try to break their eardrums from repeated, and I mean repeated, hits. Makes you REALLY appreciate the 88's when you get them.

I have it on good authority(from the Kunel) that EVENTUALLY those PzIIIe's will get upgraded to G's but it takes a good while for it to happen.

Bob, I'm finally up to Ft. Stalin @ Sevastapol. Looks to be a huge bloodbath. We'll see how the railway arty., and the Karl mortars work in this one!

Cool!

I'm currently engaged in shooting fish in a barrel as the Russians try to scurry East out of the Kiev(?) pocket. The problem is that there are more of them than I appear to have bullets.
