Was working on a scenario for a week, randomly had validation issues with my steam version, and did the needful to fix. Scenario now won't open, and this is what it says.

ERROR - Unable to load scenario! Please copy this entire text and submit it to the dev team for investigation. Exception: The process cannot access the file 'D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Command - Modern Operations\Scenarios\Scenario Building For Video.scen' because it is being used by another process. Exception source: mscorlib Stack Trace: at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath) at System.IO.FileStream.Init(String path, FileMode mode, FileAccess access, Int32 rights, Boolean useRights, FileShare share, Int32 bufferSize, FileOptions options, SECURITY_ATTRIBUTES secAttrs, String msgPath, Boolean bFromProxy, Boolean useLongPath, Boolean checkHost) at System.IO.FileStream..ctor(String path, FileMode mode, FileAccess access, FileShare share, Int32 bufferSize, FileOptions options, String msgPath, Boolean bFromProxy) at System.IO.FileStream..ctor(String path, FileMode mode) at Command_Core.ScenContainer.LoadFromFile(String theFileName) at Command.LoadScenario.mVuCSYmWzFEPyPfaSqhN(Object ) at Command.LoadScenario.LoadFromPath(String thePath, String selFilename)

Please help?

Can you log off, log in again, and retry ?

Done, validated twice. Gives out the same error message. No idea what to do. (weeks' worth of work is in that file, and i forgot backups :cri:)

I got the same exception, but the file you have posted is a big binary of zero values. This is very different from what a scenario file normally looks like.

Only recourse in such a case is to find a previous good copy, I'm afraid.

Welp, I am dead then.

Any idea how to prevent such from happening again?

If you restart creating your scenario from scratch, probably it will take you much less time because all the stuff you learnt.

But do not forget to make backups, and the same applies to the rest of files that you consider important and are stored in your computer! :)

Thanks for support. Will def make backups (that's why my Elden Ring save has 5 back ups lol)

Unfortunately, it is going to take time for me as I had like, really accurate positions of SAMs, Radars, Airbases (Updated the load option and added new ones from scratch) of India, China and Pakistan, i.e. almost 1 gb worth of satillite images and real life documents (de-classified and OSINT only of couse) all used to make it.

Meaning I need to find them 100ish SAM sites again.
