For Sep 42, the Soviet number is 155,147

the Axis number is 959,984


Do these numbers mean that the Soviet pool of manpower reserves is now only 155,147 men available to flesh out new military units?

Same for the Axis? And also, is the Axis pool of manpower reserves now THAT much more than the Soviet?

If this is all true, then seems to me that the computer Soviet player is running out of men, right?

I guess that their manpower supply is infinite, well, maybe not infinite, but, about 25 million, I guess.

In my last test game the Soviets produced around 13 million men, not counting event bonuses, reinforcements and what they start in the pool at start. That number can vary based on which Soviet population centers are overrun and for how long. They start with 3 1/2 million men and 1 million in the pool, and get 2.5 million in reinforcements and 1.2 million from events. So that all adds up to around 21 million men (with a million or so in the TBs, so you're looking at facing around 20 million men on the map).

I'll have to take the time to learn about how to post a screen shot, Jango, so, give me a day or so to post that. I need to learn how to do that.

Press the Windows + Print Screen keys to take a full print screen, automatically saving it to the Screenshots folder in your Pictures directory.

Alternatively open Paint, press the screen key and paste the pic in Paint, you may manipulate it with that software or other similar, then save it.

Attach the graphic file (.png, .jpeg,...) to your post.

Question about Rostov's Depot capacity - it is reduced to 28500 presumably because of the damage to the Railyard?

Yes. In my last test game, by turn 71, the Axis AI had 700k Axis Allied manpower (mostly Italian and Hungarian), and 200k German manpower in the pool. Those are total numbers, with active numbers a bit less. The Soviets were generating about 100k men a turn at that time (which would show up in the pool at the end of the logistics phase).

Essentially the Soviet manpower multiplier is still at its highest because you are still in 1942. That multiplier significantly makes up for losing manpower hexes in 1941 and 1942. Once it goes down in 1943 things will change in the manpower pool.

As an aside the Axis manpower pool graph is almost useless because it includes Axis allies, who for the most part are just Soviet Guard farms.

Checked a T71 save from an AI game, italy and hungary both had ~250k manpower in pool, the others added another ~100k
