I used to play Third Reich when I was a teenager but as I remember the system was not all that good and I switched to World in Flames when that game came around. Still i am sure the system has evolved and it looks like a beautiful game.
Miss boardgames sometimes not the same as a computer for sure.

I used to play SPI War in Europe which was great...though beating Russia was impossible.
Also played the GDW War...but MY GOD...We set up Barbarossa once and it took 2 full days.

1st game I learned.... the hard way with a rules lawyer that gave me the rules when it was convenient for him.

Both are two of my favorites - haven't played either in a long time but love them.

When learning others the rules verbally, you risk the suspicion of bending the rulles to fit one's own ends!
Atm. im playing Unconditional Surrender. A great strategic board game. Playing it solo via Vassal.
