Previously, I avoided pre-warp starts because of how slow it was to get through. Between my new computer and x8 speed however, I am enjoying watching the early game fly by.

Agreed! I play DW2 at 4x speed 99% of the time, occasionally slowing down only for combat and time sensitive events that require manual attention. Being able to play at 8x, especially for the early-mid game is amazing!
