CVL 祥凤 station at 106,134 reported an allied aircraft following her .
in the meantime, B5N Kate from TF 3 (and that is CVL Shoho 祥凤 group!) report allied aircraft carrier sighting at 106.134!
misidentify happens. but here we have a pilot doesn't recognize his mothership???

I have to squint a bit, but I read it as TF 3 sights Allied Carrier
Aircraft at 106,134. Not Allied Aircraft
Carrier. So basically, a confirmation of the report on the preceding line.
But then these redundant op reports confuse me sometimes. Too much information sensei!

Plus fog of war. There's many an erroneous message about sightings in the game.

I read it so that both a Shoho lookout and the Kates crew spotted and reported the Allied patrol aircraft.
The ac might be from a carrier but conducting search as it is following the TF, doctrinally US carrier ac on search should also try to bomb after reporting the TF.
