It seems something is wrong with Population debt after purchasing an asset:

1) Debt to traders is too high after factoring all variables from various in-game reports.
2) Some slight discrepancies exist between the Sales Debt reported by the game and the Sales Debt calculated by hand.
3) Sales Debt is attributed to the population although traders should pay it.

I'll look into this. But might take some time.

In any case the sales debt is given to population for simplifaction reasons.
