Two questions: Scanning and Self-Destructing

1.) How long does a successful scans (yellow/green) modifier last? After a green scan for instance does the +6 last the entire match, only the seconds after the scan, or what? How often do you need to scan after a green scan to keep the +6?
2.) How do you self destruct. Anytime I eject one of my squads Jocks, I get the Eject icon in the middle left of the screen. When I push it, they eject but there has not been an option to blow the Titan? Do you have to be at a certain skill level for the option to appear?

1. Its +8 and it lasts the entire battle.
2. You do need survival and damage control skill >= 60%.

Notice the scan bonus only applies against the scanned target. It is void if the battle computer is destroyed.
The blow-up option will show in the eject dialogue box if applicable. If it doesn't show, you're not meeting all the conditions.

A wonderful thing those futuristic Battle computers. I read that they can actually save data. Not like today.

I was wondering about the scan as well. Good info.
However:
1) If I scan again and I get a better scan, does that new number hold for the whole match on that target? If I get a lesser scan, does the better number hold?
2) I know you said "whole battle", but does that include if I lose a lock through falling down or the target moving behind cover?
3) Does scanning multiple times improve the chance for a better scan (I know it gets quicker).
4) Is there anyway to scan while firing weapons, or do I just have to not fire for those brutally long 14-30 seconds?
5) (super newb question) I am not understanding what it is telling me in the scan. What am I looking at? I see a pair of % numbers which are colored. I see a colored scan icon. How estimated are the "estimated" armor numbers? What effects the accuracy (my scan or my scanning skill... or both)?
Thank you.

1) Yes and yes.
2) Yes.
3) Getting a better scan improves scan time and success chance.
4) You can't have 2 attack actions at the same time, so no. Only swivel is common to both modes.
5) Colored %s are the success chances for successful scans from that point on - number in yellow is chance to get a yellow scan, green number for a green scan. Colored scan icon is the current scan type you have on that target - green means you have a green scan already, yellow means you only have a yellow one, red means no successful scan (red scan is not successful). Estimated numbers are just that, estimated

their accuracy depends on the type of scan you got (green, yellow), which depends on a few things like scanner quality and scanner skill.
Hope this helps.
Reading the manual helps a lot. Most of this info is there, and it's only 40 something pages
