First to commission BB

BY some miracle I've managed to get a BB into service before anyone else (i.e.Britain)
To my surprise, no announcement or prestige bonus. I would have thought it would be at least +2
Intentional? Or an oversight?

Yes, the player doesn't get the announcement the AI gets either. Would be a fun feature if the ship type "Dreadnought" ingame is named after the first Dreadnought class ship launched.

I would suggest that there should be an increase in tension as well as prestige, if the player does this before any AI faction,
At a stroke, you have made Bs obsolete. Chances are everyone else will be annoyed to say the least...

The current version tells you who built the biggest of each class. It also puts your quality at risk when hopping over 120% of what's in play (but do it anyway).
At a stroke, you have made Bs obsolete.
Unfortunately (or not) BS will never be obsolete.
I was hoping that David Hackett-Fischer's "Historical Fallacies" (1970), establishing the Historical Method, would have partially turned the trick, but no soap, not even in academia . . .
