Hello, I have just found this game today, and I wonder if some of TOAW players have tried it.

It seems it has a powerful editor to design many different campaigns or battles similar to the TOAW capabilities, although TOAW seems more detailed. Not sure yet if it has an entire campaign for WWII Europe as SC3.
Workshop mod community seems active.

Fairly simple. Biggest thing I don't like about it is no stacking. If you like a simple to play fast paced game that you can complete in a short amount of time this is your ticket.

Hello, I am extremely new to this forum. My grammar is also terrible. While i was searching to learn how to use the V1 and V2 German weapons. I noticed the comment about the stacking and a short game!

I have been playing Hex of Steel on my phone for a few days. The game is not short at all in some campaigns.
1. no stacking ------ But there is weapons (tanks, planes, boats, etc.) that have different ranges of support
2. not a long game ------- At the very least amount of time for me to complete a game by myself was over 4 hours. There are 30 turns and in special parts of campaign game there is over 100 plus turns.

The positives ----- A) it is much better than the boards games where you have to spend to much time stacking and remembering what is under the pieces. Some people like those the tedious parts of the game that lead to mistakes and mishaps.
B) the game is a multiplayer game. It is very difficult to play with others locally games like Operation Olympic or Cobra. It is great to see that there is a couple multi player and 2 player options.
C) you can set up your own game choosing which rules you want and don't want in your multiplayer game. that to me is very cool
D) the game is fun
A few negatives for me when playing on the phone ---------* is not being able to remember the support fire vehicles. I cant remember except for the flaks. this of course is operator error.
**at times there is pieces that get attacked when there are no other pieces around. I think moving through different terrain might also cause casualties. These to me are just bugs.
***supply is a bit confusing for me as well as if the money earned is worth having the refinery. I'm still struggling with knowing how to get the most out of earning extra funds for weapons in game. the AI seems to be far superior than me.
****the written rules found in pdf file are vague for all the available weapons, vehicles and plans. Supplies (boats, planes, and regular) have no numbers and other boats cant seem to use the supply the supply planes is also unclear on how to use. the cargo ships that enable to move soldier faster to another locations i struggle with how to use. As i am writing this____ I'm remembering there is a discord and a youtube channel that explains functions a bit better.

It would be nice ----- 1) to have a legend for a quick reference for those of us who are forgetful.
2) to have a way to easily identify the engineers. (there is an easy tab that allows for land military and air. I wonder if the same tab could include and "E" for engineers)
Overall the Game "HEX of STEEL" is fantastic.
There are so many different functions that could keep players busy for years playing different options. It so cool that the hex game can be played long distances.
