Destroyed vehicle traffic

Does this game have a hidden stat for debris blocking pathways or something?

A lot of unit paths seem to constantly avoid areas with large amounts of 'shell hole' or 'dead enemies' graphics... I didnt read anything about this in the manual. Did I miss something?

Yes, the AI will repath to avoid getting caught up in very slow-going terrain with wrecks and shell holes and will also look to avoid the areas where a good number of friendly losses have occurred.
