Midlevel Logistics causing extreme slowdown in late game. [1.26d]

Hi Vic,
Thanks for the game so far, not sure whether to post this here or in the Tech Support subforum, but this isn't really a bug (and might not even be considered a problem, but rather a suggestion) so I'll put it here.
I've recently tried out midlevel logistics [alpha test] on a "Normal - Large" (173x69) Sized Siwa planet and have noticed towards the late game (turn ~150) the time between turns starts to become rather large (20-40ish minutes on a 4.5GHz CPU) and only continues to increase exponentially as the game goes on. Most of the wait happens after AI move processing (which only takes about 2-3 minutes) and modifying AI processing speed has little effect on it. This makes me believe that the midlevel logistics routing algorithm is the culprit (but without profiling the game I cannot be sure).
I was wondering if it is possible to determine if the above is correct (or if I am wrong and this isn't something caused by midlevel logistics), and if so, would there be any plans in improving this?
For context attached is the world save in a compressed folder, there are 3 Active Majors and about 70~ total zones.
Thanks.
