Flights stuck in "take off" stage when coordinating a strike

I have a strike part of a task pool. The units take of at the correct time but are stuck in the "taking off" status in the flight planner. All of the details from the flight plan suggest they should head towards their target but never do. The units will fly until they are out of fuel and crash not even RTBing when low on fuel.

I've attached the save with the issue.

Is there something I've done wrong or is this a bug?

I have the same issue. In the ATO the flight status does not change from taking off.
This sometimes triggers an error message like "...has one or more flightplan errors that prevents it from taking off". But the flight is already underway. There is more taking off required.
This makes the use of flight planning pretty difficult.
Looks like a bug to me.

It's been a couple months now, is there anyone that can take a look at this and post an acknowledge the issue?
