Playing as the RAF, I keep getting attacked by "German Hurricane MkIIAs from 81 Squadron." If you replay the turn from the attached save file, you can see what happened. They were the first fighter sweep detected. They flow around London being attacked by AAA and shooting up my balloons. They loitered for a better part of the day, and then for some reason flew off to the top left corner of the screen and loitered for what seemed like forever- for longer than what a turn is supposed to last.

I've seen this in the one day and seven day RAF campaigns now, but I'm not sure about the others.


Perhaps 81 Sqn. was so disillusioned from its time in Soviet Murmansk that they switched sides.

I check in every once in a while to see if anything odd pops up. Like this.

The game data shows 81 Squadron arriving 89 days into the 1941 campaigns, and nothing strange shows up that would cause this to happen. I did look at your save and indeed witness that this is a bug, but I ran a test turn as RAF 7 day 1941 Campaign and it did not repeat so it appears to be intermittent.

Could I have some kind of file corruption or wrong file, such as from a botched update, etc.?

In this game yes - primarily if you switch between ED and BTR without exiting to desktop weird things can happen with the data.

Yeah, that's probably what I did...

I think the warning about that needs to be more front and center.

I tried to start a fresh RAF BOB 1941 one day campaign again WITHOUT opening any BTR first, and I got the same issue of the "German" Hurricane squadron that persists for over 24 hours and gets stuck in the top left of the map.

It can't be data being carried over from BTR- is there a way that I can verify my campaign files or something?

I wouldn't mind a single wrong unit, but the fact that it gets stuck for so long makes the campaign almost unpayable.

I logged this as a verified bug. Nothing to be done but root out the cause and issue a hotfix. I'll see what I can do.

I fixed this and working on a few others:
Reduce occurrence of U-Boat Pen mandatory targeting from 75% chance to 67% chance.
Allow targeting of U-Boat Factories during U-Boat Pen mandatory targeting.
Balancing Avalanche scenario giving more points to Axis for effective troops on the map.

We will release a hotfix sometime soon after testing.
